Mining : Accountant From 2009-03 To Current Duties
- Ordering of Chemicals daily.
- Capturing of bulk chemical weights and flow readings.
- Week ending and month end figures done distributed to relevant personnel.
- To Submit invoices to the accounts department and attend to any account queries.
- SAP Function : To complete all reservation orders, complete all requisitions orders, capturing all leave and absences, capturing of all overtime, travelling and standby and the processing of course bookings.
- Excel Function : Entry of daily figures and consolidations, doing balance checks and fault finding if figures don’t balance. Week End summary figures and month end summary figures. Cross referencing entered data against delivery notes and invoices. Running Buffer Store - Receiving and checking of goods daily and sorting them according to section ordered to. Faulty goods to be sent back to main stores. Offloading of goods from main store truck. Distribution of milk to all Other than above duties I am a safety rep and form part of audits when necessary. Do accident investigations when accidents/incidents occur in my section. Blue book inspections done on a monthly basis. Issue safety permits and do risk assessment when work is to be done in our section.
Restaurants : Restaurant Manager From 2007-11 To 2009-03 Duties
- Total running of the shop on a day to day basis. This entails the purchase, receiving and control of all inventory of both the kitchen and bar stock. I also have to keep computer systems up to date on a daily basis with items received and sold.
- Had to control all cash received and paid out on a daily basis. Reconciliations done and systems have to be kept up to date on a regular basis. These controls are done on both a point of sale system and Excel spreadsheets.
- Both the kitchen and waitering staff reported to me. I also have to ensure that food and service is of the highest quality at all times. This also means having to sort out any problems experienced by customers if and when it happens.
Accounting : Accounting Clerk From 2005-01 To 2005-11 Duties
- Capturing of data on the Pastel accounting system.
- Completed all the journals and ledgers of the clients as well as the reconciliations and reports. I also had to do some filing and assisting clients over the phone.

Had to do stock control on a daily basis making sure all stock out of stock were ordered. - Running of both the bars in the hotel.
- Making sure the stock was kept at the right levels and cleanliness upheld. Had bar and waitering staff reporting to me with me reporting back to the food and beverage manager.
- Was involved in the organising of weddings and functions. Having to make sure there were enough liquor stock and smooth running of wine service. Did a stock take on a monthly basis together with the hotel auditor. had to clean the beer lines on the draught machines every two weeks. also had to make sure the rota of staff were done weekly.
